Evan Rosen, M.D., Ph.D.

Evan Rosen, M.D, Ph.D. (Member of the TAC; Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Endocrinology) strives to understand the transcriptional pathways that underlie key processes in metabolic tissues. He has a long-standing productive relationship with the Epigenomics Initiative at the Broad Institute. He has had particular success using a variety of epigenomic approaches to identify cis-elements of importance in fat cells, which can be subjected to motif finding and transcription factor prediction. Using such approaches, his group has identified multiple novel transcriptional regulators of adipogenesis, lipogenesis, lipolysis, insulin sensitivity, and thermogenesis. His lab is also spearheading a large NIH-funded effort to characterize mouse and human adipose tissue at the single cell level.
