Multi-tissue multi-omics single-cell dissection of obesity and exercise

We use computational and systems biology tools to dissect beneficial effects of exercise training against obesity in single tissues and across tissues at levels of transcriptomics, epigenomics, metabolomics and proteomics. Through these efforts, we are aiming to better understand genetic and environmental factors contributing to obesity, and develop new therapeutics against type 2 diabetes, metabolic diseases, and the obesity epidemic.
