Dr. Goodyear is Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Senior Investigator and Co-Head of the Section on Integrative Physiology and Metabolism at the Joslin Diabetes Center. Dr. Goodyear is a leading expert in the field of exercise science, making numerous discoveries that have led to understanding many molecular mechanisms by which exercise improves health. Her lab has published over 200 papers, she has mentored approximately 100 students and post-doctoral fellows, and her work has been continuously funded by the NIH throughout her career.
